15 major U. S. cities were where you can find houses less than $230,000

Market report or sorry, 15 major U. S. cities were where you can find houses less than 230. Look, it's right there. Now, Detroit, you can buy houses for 10, in Detroit. That's the average price is 83, 000. 5, 000 guys. You can go there now. Granted. Now I'm not steering just granted because I don't know that area, but it's a lot of money.

There are certain neighborhoods that you want to steer away from a little rough, but yeah, there are places outside of Detroit that are really nice and it's it's pretty low living Memphis, Tennessee is 142, 000. I have friends that live in the North Eastern quadrant and she's selling up a storm.

My parents live in Knoxville. Knoxville is a great a great state. It's just to me, it's a little bit landlocked. I, yeah I'm not for being in a place where I can't be near a beach. So anyway, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Hartford, Connecticut, Alabama, all that is just affordable living. Now, Baltimore, Maryland, that's yeah.

Oklahoma City, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Ohio. There you go.  Why is it less or more affordable there than it is here? The job market there is a little rough. The schooling is a little bit rough and everything there is just the cost of living there is a whole lot less.

Living vs Working: A Comparison

Now, St. Louis, that's a great place.

I love St. Louis. They have some real. Regular living people. They don't work to live. They live to work or vice versa. They don't live to work. They work to make a living and they are all about family doing things and having fun. And that's the thing here. We're all hustle and bustle work. We work 12-hour days.

Lord knows I've done that. Just a couple of years ago I was doing it. I've backed away from working those kinds of crazy hours. And this is interesting to me because.

Exploring Other Housing Options

You don't have to live here if you're if you can't afford to live here no nothing is stopping you from at least looking into it, right?

Open up your eyes. And by the way, I know some great realtors out there

Luxury Home of the Week

luxury home of the week, this is not my listing eight bedrooms eight full baths Two half baths almost 18,000 square feet. This is a compound. I mean  It should come with Like guards, on the turrets, look at this thing.

It's just like a huge compound. This is all building right here. It's just ginormous.

That is gorgeous. Everything about that house is gorgeous.

And did I mention the price tag?

I can't afford it.  68 million dollars. There you go. 68 million dollars. And it is right near the country club in Hillsboro.  So yeah, I was just there a couple weekends ago for San Mateo. My daughters did a gymnastics competition. But yeah, if you're interested in learning about this, it's two and a third acres.

There you go. All right. I can't give you these numbers because they're not letting me drop this down. I don't know what's going on. They're messing this thing up.

10 Bay Area County Market

So I have to call them right now, but we have 385 closed listings in Santa Clara, single-family homes year to date. We're almost at 2000 and we're a month and a half into it.

I can tell you that our active homes for sale right now are still meager. Now I'll show you the number for  All of it, but it's going to go down into months if it lets me do it. Contra Costa has 400 houses for sale your best place to buy a house right now. It looks like  Marin and Sonoma County are hurting a little bit.

Napa actually here year to date has 137  from last year.  I think it's because last year Napa had some wonky numbers that totally skewed things. But. This last week, there were some deals to be had in Napa, same with Santa Cruz, 97 cents on the dollar. That is absolutely wrong. That's got to be changed.

Oh, look at that.  Something went wonky there. That is again, I don't think that's the right number. We'll have to get that to you anyway. All right. So there you go. Their database is a little jacked up right now. The MLS. I'm going to have a call into them and I'll call them right away, but the numbers still show that our numbers are active, active homes for sale across the Bay area are deploringly lows.

Conclusion and Final Thoughts

Sorry, this wasn't super exciting, but that's it today. We talked about cities where you could buy something really cheap.  Luxury house for 68 million and the 10 County. Report, but those numbers are wrong. Wrong. Anyway, I'll get they'll I'll get them fixed by next week and we'll see you out there.
