Introduction and Overview
Selling your house? Get that clutter off your kitchen. That's what we're talking about today, as well as Cupertino House, Willow Glen House, Luxury House of the Week, and the 12 Bay Area Sales Report. I did some research on those wacky numbers up in Sonoma, so let's get moving. Make sure you stay tuned.
Decluttering Tips for Selling Your Home
Yeah, get rid of junk and clutter. Don't leave your fruit out when it's warm You have something called fruit flies here in California and they will devastate your fruit If you have fruit sitting out on your counter, it will be infested Keep them in the fridge. They last longer and they don't get filled with fly protein. Flowers are nice to decorate, making it look purpose-built. That's what this whole article is about.
Organizing Your Kitchen Appliances
Store rarely used equipment.
You have a toaster and a toaster oven. Get rid of the toaster. Your toaster oven works just as good it will cook your pizza and bake your potatoes, and then you also have the air fryer. And then why do you have three different things? Use what you're going to use. If you use it all the time, use it.
If you have company, put it underneath. Build an appliance garage. I have a pantry. But that's full of baking goods for the girls. They love baking stuff, I would take my toaster oven and throw it into the pantry when I have company, and then I'll take it out.
Or if I'm showing a house, I would do the same thing. Consolidate your beverage area. Having a coffee pot or coffee maker, that's one thing. But if you have a coffee maker and espresso maker and a tea maker and all that just is a lot, right? So I would say take it and store it until you use it and pull it out.
Let it cool off and put it away, I am more of the use it until it's broken type So if you have a 1975 toaster and it's still working, keep it. Mount what you can underneath cabinets. I get that you can do the paper towels and the can openers and all that.
But no, don't do that. Just put it underneath the can. You have storage. Right? When you re-design and put in a new kitchen, you should have a ton of storage. And that storage should be organizers, our pantry has organizers, and our cutlery drawer has organizers. So just be organized about it.
Go in every couple of months and take out all the dust and crumbs and dirt that builds up in it. So yeah, there you go. This segment is brought to you by the home inspection checklist. If you're thinking about selling your house or are overwhelmed by the honey do's you need to get to.

Cupertino House of the Week
Cupertino House of the Week, Rancho Deep Cliff Drive. Not my listing, but it's on Stevens Creek Canyon. DeAnza is right here, right? I used to live right here when I was a kid, Up the hill and south foothills. This is Rancho San Antonio. The hiking that we do, I do that.
If you're interested in going hiking with me every Friday, let me know. It's been on the market for five days. Let's take a look. It's a two-bedroom. A million dollars a bedroom. Crazy. And it's a small lot. 3,700 square foot lot. It is designed for easy living, I would guess.
When was this built? 76, yeah. Take a look at that door. That's screaming. Brady Bunch is right there.
The cabinets have been painted,
new carpet, new paint. See, it's amazing what you can do with the house if you just use bright and airy colors. White, light beige, light yellow. You can even do light blue if you want, but I'm not into that. There you go. It's on a hill. Oh man, that is just asking for trouble. You got the air conditioner up top.
Why would you put your neighbor's pool? Does this have an HOA? Yeah, it's a thousand dollars a month So it looks like that's the clubhouse and deep cliff. Nice. I played a few rounds on the deep cliff. It's a nine-hole. Monta Vista High School. I went there.
Kennedy Middle School went there. And I'm not sure why they're promoting restaurants. Okay, there you go.
Willow Glen House of the Week
Willow Glen House of the Week. I picked Gunderson. It's a five-bedroom, four-bath, 3000-square-foot house for $3 million. Not my listing. Gunderson Ave. The reason why I picked it is it's the furthest one away from Lincoln Ave that I could see. It's been on the market for one day. This thing's gonna sell really quick. When was this built? 1963. This is five years older than me.
Look at that paneling. Wow, that is screaming 1963. Pink. I wonder what color the original cabinets were.
Looks like there was a wall here at one time. They took it down. Luxury home of the week. I think it was Tallwood. 28 million dollars, wish it was my listing. Six bedrooms, seven and two half baths. Almost 11, 000 square feet, were built last year. Let's take a look at where it is. It's up in the hills a little bit.
Between 101 and 280. And, let's take a look at these nice little pictures.
Last week I did something about stuff you don't need to put into your house. Unless you have a big old mansion. One of them was a movie theater. If you have 11, 000 square feet, you need to fill it up with something and you might as well have a nice little movie theater. I don't know why I would do that, considering my daughter works at the movie theater.
And I get to enjoy movies whenever I want for free. That's nice right there. I like that outside with the fire pit. A beautiful house. That is gorgeous. And it is on almost an acre of lot. Think about buying a house, going to open house shopping this weekend, and downloading this home buyers checklist. It'll help walk you through what house has dual pane windows, which ones don't, which one has an updated kitchen, which one doesn't, et cetera.
Download it today. These numbers are completely out of whack and I'm assuming we have the same thing here in Solano 530 percent over list price Something's wacky here and it drove me to take a look So I took a look at Sonoma and this one building right here this three bedroom one bath no square feet 1, 500 acres sold for 12 million dollars if you want to look at where it is, it's on Sonoma Creek.
My guess is they're going to empty this area out dry it out raise it and put some houses on it Thousand days on the market is good for them But I don't think this should have been sold as a single-family house This thing should have been sold as land or development land, or even farmland.
Santa Clara still has the most number of sales year to date. The average price is about 2. 2 million and the average sales price over the list price ratio is 6, 7%, which is what we've been seeing all last year as well.
We have 135 in the contract this week. And Marin last year was averaging 63 days on the market. Now at 98, that's crazy. And Napa was at 63 65 and we're at 91. So things are absolutely slowing down. San Benito is definitely in the slow market where I'm on two offers. I have. Possibly two more are coming in.
I had a buyer that I was working with and then he ghosted me. Buyers are just being picky right now. I have another listing coming up this week. Hopefully, we'll get everything done and then we'll put it on the market. But my intention is to list it low and attract buyers in San Jose, Santa Clara. We're seeing, 25 days on the market, but in San Jose specifically, it's going pretty quick.
I see houses that are flashing off, especially when they're priced right.
Thanks for watching. I'm Vito with Abottano. We'll see you out there.
